Still on the topic of renewable energy, Semens prepared something special this holiday season. They equipped a power generating wind mill with 9000 LED lights, consuming as much energy as a hairdryer. The windmill will be brightening the skies of Munich through January 6th.

A Battery That Can Power A House For A Week!

The world is finally changing, and most major corporations are trying hard to please their customers with true eco friendly solutions. The latest development in battery technology comes from Panasonic, who claims to have produced a battery capable of powering a Japanese house for a week. Now i don’t know how that would compare to a Canadian household. Even if it would be double, this would still be a great solution to replace generators operating on fossil fuels.

The possibilities could be endless with such a technology, storing energy produced by solar power or windmills is one example.

At the lightning pace which technology has been advancing, it was only a matter of time before magazines and newspapers were replace by more efficient forms of media. I know ebook readers have been out for quite some time, but they lack something monumental. Interactivity, it cannot be obtained by the current Eink technologies. More and more android based tablets are surfacing on the market, lets not even mention the much anticipated Apple tablet, things are about to change dramatically. It is nice to see that publishers are already working on preparing their products for the future. Here is Time inc.’s vision. We are lining up for a greener future !

Stolen Winter Tires in Lachine

A friend of mine was driving in Lachine a few days ago, when he spotted a car without wheels laying ground. He snapped a quick picture with his cellphone. Hopefully it wont become a common practice in the years to come. Put a set of wheel locks just to be on the safe side, they range between 30-50$ and you wont have to wake up to this scene in the morning.
